2016 June Ms bike ride

On Sunday June 5th the ICRC Bristol Radio Club assisted with communications at the MS Bike ride event in Windsor. The rainy weather caused the event to be shortened but there still were a two 50 mile rides, a 25 mile ride and a 10 mile ride. The kid’s event got shortened from 2 miles to a 1 mile ride. Thanks to Ted for the use of the K1YON/145.230 repeater, which performed flawlessly for this event. The AAA provided 2 SAG wagons (Support and Gear vehicles) and the ICRC/BRC also manned 5 SAGs along with 4 rest stops. A Taste of Texas provided an excellent lunch and the t-shirts and sunglasses freebies were appreciated too. Even with the wet weather everyone had a good time helping out this great cause. The club helped the MS folks track the riders and called in for assistance whenever bikes needed repair or riders were tired.
